At Opus, their mission is to produce definitive publications featuring the finest writers, stunning images displayed on an epic scale and present it in a beautifully-designed, luxury format.
Working with these two very Iconic names (Arsenal FC & Diego 10) was such a privilege, and an amazing experience. The colossal size was a designers dream from a layout and typography perspective and dealing with such large format photography was amazing.
The Official Arsenal Opus tells the story of Arsenal Football Club, focusing on the Highbury years from 1913 to 2006 and the move to Emirates Stadium. This monumental work is divided into eras covering all the key players and managers who have shaped the development of Arsenal into one of the world's most famous clubs. Herbert Chapman's team won a hat-trick of championship titles in the 1930s, part of a glorious period which set the benchmark for such great managers as Tom Whittaker, Bertie Mee, George Graham and, most spectacularly of all, Arsène Wenger.
"THE OFFICIAL ARSENAL OPUS IS A FANTASTIC CELEBRATION OF ARSENAL FOOTBALL CLUB. THE TEAM HAS ALWAYS BEEN AT THE FOREFRONT OF BOTH DOMESTIC AND EUROPEAN FOOTBALL AND THE LAUNCH OF THE OPUS IS A REAL TESTAMENT TO THE HISTORY AND MAJESTY OF ONE OF THE GREATEST CLUBS IN EUROPE. ARSÈNE WENGER"
"GOD MAKES ME PLAY WELL. THAT IS WHY I ALWAYS MAKE THE SIGN OF THE CROSS WHEN I WALK OUT ONTO THE FIELD. I FEEL I WOULD BE BETRAYING HIM IF I DIDN'T. DIEGO."
